More than a Food Pantry: Spartan Mosaic

During this past academic year, the Spartan Open Pantry distributed 93,000 pounds of food, along with thousands of hot meals.

Lord of Life, Garner, and Christ the King, Cary, teamed up to pack meals for hungry people across the world for the “Rise Against Hunger” program. More than 125 volunteers turned out and in less than 90 minutes reached their goal of packing 15,300 meals.

The Lutheran Deaconess Conference (LDC) gathered for their Annual Meeting, August 6-10; their first time meeting in North Carolina.
