The Assoc. of Lutherans of Arab & Middle Eastern Heritage (ALAMEH) invites you to join “A Prayer for Lament and Peace” on Friday, November 10, at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. Worship Leaders will include: the Rev. Khader El-Yateem, (ALAMEH Pres.), the Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac, (Pastor, Christmas Lutheran in Bethlehem, ELCJHL), the Rev. Gabi Aelabouni, (Dir., ELCA Middle East & N. Africa Desk), the Rev. Dr. Meghan Aelabouni, (Theologian-in-Residence), and the Rev. Khader Khalilia, (Program Dir., ELCA Arab & Middle Eastern Min.). We come together to pray for an end to the largely indiscriminate bombing of Gaza, for an immediate ceasefire, and for the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Let us unite in prayer, seeking the support of nations worldwide to bring an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine and work toward the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. Our prayer is for justice and lasting peace.
