North Carolina will receive $1.5 billion from a series of national opioid settlements totaling $56 billion. These funds will support treatment, recovery, harm reduction, and other life-saving programs and services. The funds began being distributed in 2022. NC Council of Churches will host a webinar on Monday, August 5, at 7:00 p.m., which will provide an overview of the NC Opioid Settlements and the Memorandum of Agreement between the State of North Carolina and Local Governments on Proceeds Relating to the Settlement of Opioid Litigation (NC MOA). Learn the background of the Settlement, what the Memorandum of Agreement is, and how your faith community can take advantage of the resources made available by the NC MOA.
