With boldness and courage, I stepped into a plan to expand our worship from a single traditional worship service, to an additional more contemporary non-traditional style of worship. I could only step forward into God’s dream of expanded worship offerings because of the work I did with a leadership coach. The coach helped draw out God’s dreams, showed me how to frame and form them, so they went from dream to reality. Coaching gave me the ability to think through the changes needed, to seek the resources, to put the goal in place and to work toward it, even when I was anxious and unsure! Coaching has helped strengthen my leadership skills, develop more leaders in the congregation I serve, and showed me how to move forward into God’s preferred future! I give thanks for my coach and the coaching I learned in the NC Synod.
