Watch Synod Gathering by Live Stream

Whether you are attending Synod Gathering or connecting from home, We Are More!

May 24, 2024 |

The 2024 Synod Gathering is less than one week away! Beginning on Thursday, May 30, over 300 NC Synod Lutherans will gather in Hickory over the three days of this event.

If you cannot attend this year, you can still connect to the learning, inspiration, worship, and generosity of the Synod Gathering from home!

Ways to Connect
  • Join the live stream! Each day’s worship and keynotes will be live-streamed: Thursday, Dr. Jay Augustine; Friday, Iain Chester. See the schedule on the Synod Gathering webpage; watch the homepage to connect.
  • Watch our socials: Facebook | Instagram
  • Help fill Bishop Tim’s car! At Thursday’s Block Party (5/30), attendees will be able to donate a lantern to the people of New Orleans in preparation for this summer’s ELCA Youth Gathering. Each lantern will be represented by a balloon in the bishop’s car. Give ahead of time—your gift “lanterns” will be added to the bishop’s car. Find details including the links to give on the Synod Gathering webpage.
  • Pray for those attending! Pray that the Spirit will come anew in this gathering. Pray for synod staff and other leaders. Pray that those attending will be uplifted to new energy for God’s work and commitment to live into the knowledge that we are more through Christ.
For Those Who Are Registered

Those who are registered will have received a registration confirmation email on May 16 with details about what’s happening when and where to go when you arrive. (If not, contact Lexi Barnhill ASAP!) The synod staff and planning team members are excited to welcome you to Lenoir-Rhyne. See you soon!

Stay tuned to the Synod Gathering webpage for all of the details.
