St. John’s, Salisbury
On September 13, the people of St. John’s, Salisbury, came together for a meaningful day of service as the congregation participated in God’s Work. Our Hands. From young to old, members of the congregation rolled up their sleeves and found ways to serve, work together, and share God’s love with others.
Throughout the day, volunteers served in a variety of ways across the church and community. From landscaping at Zion Hills to serving through various community projects in Ritchie Hall and the congregation’s Child Development Center, there were many opportunities to lend a helping hand.
Every task, whether big or small, was an important part of the day.
It was especially wonderful to see generations serving side by side. Children, youth, adults, and older adults all contributed their time and talents. Together, all were reminded that everyone has something to offer and that God can use each person to make a difference.
More than simply completing projects, the day was about putting faith into action. Through their work and willingness to serve, congregation members had the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ in the community.
God’s Work. Our Hands. was a wonderful reminder that when everyone works together, young and old, the congregation can make a difference and share God’s love in meaningful ways.
