The congregation of Alamance, Alamance, was busy preparing for and celebrating God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday! Throughout August, congregation members prepared Blessing Meal Bags, filling each with the ingredients for one of three menus. Members of a local Girl Scout group and people from the community served by Alamance joined in the effort.

On Sunday, September 13, volunteers distributed the bags from a drive-through station on church property, welcoming families from noon until 6 p.m. They distributed more than 160 bags to more than 40 families. Other volunteers delivered bags to families who were unable to participate in the drive-through event. Each bag contained enough ingredients for four meals.
