This year, Wittenberg, Granite Quarry, celebrated God’s Work. Our Hands. by making meals for our local First Responders.
Located right across the street from Wittenberg, Granite Quarry’s Fire, Police, and EMTs are our literal neighbors and the services they provide are vital for the safety and health of our small town. This year our Congregational Life group decided to make meals for the department so that they could have access to a home-cooked meal when they stay long hours at the station.
On September 7, a small but mighty group from Wittenberg came together to assemble shepherd’s pie, baked spaghetti, casseroles, cobblers, and pound cakes. The delivery was met with enthusiasm.
Kids made cards for the First Responders and members delivered meals and desserts to our neighbors.
