We are better together!

Holy Comforter, Belmont

Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, Belmont partnered with local organizations for God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday. including House of Mercy, Bunny Blessings, and S.O.C.K.S, showing

Serving the community for over 20 years, House of Mercy’s mission is to empower those living with HIV or AIDS in their transformation toward a more independent life. Providing care to over 300 people and striving to create, through action and education, a more understanding society.  Volunteers helped clean vans and rooms.

With just 3 years of service to our community, Bunny Blessings in Belmont has touched so many lives. This bunny therapy mission started as a way for Phillip and Brittany Bryson to serve and love others with their pet bunny. Bunny Blessings today has over 50 volunteers caring for bunnies 2-3 times a day and providing visits to our community’s nursing homes, scouts, youth groups, families with special needs, and hospice care.

Serving Our Community with Kindness in Springwood (S.O.C.K.S.) provides food and clothing as well as utility, gas, and healthcare financial assistance for individuals and families in need. Volunteers assisted with the sorting and organizing of donations to prepare for the week.

Additional volunteers made signs of hope for the church lawn to spread love throughout their community, while others baked cookies and made cards for local first responders.
