Rejoice with us as we welcome our newly commissioned Lay Preachers!

Because of the pandemic and gathering restrictions, we commissioned them via Zoom in November 2020. But these eleven really wanted to be able to be together and be surrounded by friends and family and those who have encouraged and supported them during this time of formation. So, on Friday, September 24, outdoors in the arbor at Salem, Lincolnton, about 50 people gathered in masks to celebrate and rejoice as the bishop installed the latest cohort of NC Synod Lay Preachers.

The 2020 Cohort of Lay Preachers are: Robert Arndt, Jonathan Beaver, Kay Conrad, Joe Davis, Wayne Giese, Susan Harris, Carol Hinson, Mark Howell, Mary Ann Icenhour, Rebecca Moretz and Jeffrey Zill.
