Mt. Olive, Hickory, busy with many projects
Mt. Olive, Hickory, was quite busy with several different activities over the “God’s work. Our hands.” weekend.
On Saturday, blessing bags for the homeless were handed out at lunch, and children baked cookies to give out at church the next day. Also, Women of the ELCA sponsored the packing of school kits and personal care kits for Lutheran World Relief. This was a Thrivent Action Team project. A total of 174 school kits and 73 personal care kits were assembled.
Sunday we were caring for creation. We cleaned up and made bird feeders! The cookies baked the day before were exchanged for dog and cat donations to be given to the Humane Society. Some helped with worship at Trinity Ridge.
Thanks to all who contributed and participated!
