The first bridge build—Stoney Creek—is underway!
Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) and Lutheran Disaster Response Carolinas (LDRC) are partnering to fund and build bridges in Western NC—and the first bridge build began on Monday, March 24, 2025!
Many families whose bridges were destroyed by Hurricane Helene need bridges to cross creeks to and from their homes. There are estimated to be over 5,000 of these private bridges needing to be replaced.
