Beds and cots for “The Lodge”

In 2017, a Peeler/Casey Grant was awarded to the Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch to help purchase forty beds for a men’s transitional housing program, “The Lodge,” and to purchase twenty cots for an emergency shelter that operates when temperatures fall below freezing or when there’s a natural disaster. “The Lodge” has a 40-bed capacity and typically hosts 28-30 men living there at any given time each of whom agrees to find a job, submit to random drug tests, and live according to guidelines that create a calm and peaceful environment; ideally, joining the workforce and breaking the cycle of a homeless existence.
