BBQ and Being Together

In the end, the weather was perfect and the company was even better.

It was a long time coming, this Synod Gathering! We had planned to be together in the spring of 2020; that was not to be. The synodwide learning event we dreamed of—with learning, inspiration, and plenty of worship—finally happened! The BBQ with fabulous food, great music, and games was to have happened on Shaw Plaza right in front of the Cromer Center on LR’s campus. A threat of thunderstorm moved the food inside, but then the sky cleared. The music and games were a great way to unwind with corn hole, Jenga, and ladder toss. Also, dancing…there was dancing thanks to DJ Chris!

In the end, the weather was perfect and the company was even better. It was a long time to wait to be together, but we were patient and it was definitely worth the wait!
