The congregation of Grace, Salisbury, assembled Personal Care Kits and School Kits to donate to Lutheran World Relief.

Yellow “God’s Work, Our Hands” T-shirts were worn to worship that morning to show our support for God’s Work. Our Hands. Immediately following the service, members of all ages joined together in the Family Life Center and enjoyed assembling all the kits, while enjoying a hot dog lunch and desserts.

  • 107 Personal Care Kits were assembled. These kits consisted of; 1 Towel, 2 bars of soap, 1 Toothbrush, 1 Comb, and 1 Nail Clipper.
  • 160 School Kits were assembled. These kits consisted of; 1 Drawstring Book Bag, 4 Composition Notebooks, 1 Ruler, 1 Pencil Sharpener, 1 Box of Crayons, 1 Pair of Safety Scissors, 5 Pencils, 5 Pens, and 1 Eraser.

All kits will be boxed up and picked up by Lutheran World Relief and will be combined with quilts made by the Grace Quilters and sent throughout the world where needed.

We had an absolute blast doing God’s Work with Our Hands!
