A Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church is located in Charlotte, NC. This year on Sunday, September 8, GWOH Sunday, was the sixty first year anniversary of signing the church’s charter to become a mission church in the Northwest area of the city. For this year’s GWOH Sunday, our Outreach Ministry asked for the congregation’s help in donating hygiene items to fill fifty gallon-size bags that would then be given to an agency in Charlotte. Hearts to Hands CLT, Inc. is a community development nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless population in Charlotte. Their mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, to improve the mental health and overall well-being of those less fortunate. We also were fortunate to obtain a Thrivent grant to help obtain some items not donated. Not only were we blessed to do God’s work with our hands, but also “pay it forward” for H2H help those in need for their hands and bodies.
