NC Synod Hearing on the Social Statement: Civic Life and Faith Draft

Currently, an ELCA task force is working on a social statement on church, state, and civic participation. Right now, a draft social statement is available for public feedback. To learn more about the task force, the social statement process and how to participate, check out elca.org/civicsandfaith. Feedback on the draft will be accepted through Monday, September 30, 2024. This social statement is currently scheduled to be voted on at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly in 2025.

The NC Synod is offering two hearings to allow for discussion and learning more. Led by Deacon Mindy Makant, details are available below.
