Called by God and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Deacon GeoRene Jones will be ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament on Saturday, February 21, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC. The Reverend Emily K. Hartner, Bishop of the North Carolina Synod, ELCA, preaching and presiding. All rostered ministers and candidates are invited to vest and process; the color of the day is red. Clergy to gather by 1:45 p.m. in the Office Hall (follow the red arrows). A meal and fellowship will follow.

Deacon GeoRene has been called to serve as Pastor and as Executive Director of the Encouragement Center at St. Luke’s.
