At the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, “Tita” proposed collaboration among ethnic women, inspiring cross-ethnic relationships among ELCA women of color. Dr. Beverly Wallace will host a symposium for women of color theologians to address church and societal issues. The event will feature Professor Selenir Kronbauer, an African-Brazilian theologian teaching African Brazilian History and leading the “Blackness in Church and Society” program, supporting immigrants in Brazil.
