On September 10, during the God’s work. Our hands weekend, more than 100 volunteers from Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cary, descended on the “Rise Against Hunger” (RAH) warehouse in Raleigh to pack 15,000+ meals for distribution to starving people around the world. The congregation has been participating in RAH events since 2016 and has now packed a grand total of 110,808 meals. Each meal costs 38 cents, so this year Christ the King is raising $5,700 to cover those costs.
