St. Peter’s & St. James Feed and Care

St. Peter's & St. James joined together for their second annual Community Breakfast & Health Fair.

October 18, 2026 |

St. Peter’s, Salisbury, and St. James, Rockwell, established the East Rowan Community Food Bank this year. For God’s Work. Our Hands. weekend this year, they held their second annual Community Breakfast & Health Fair for their neighbors. They served breakfast to over 100 people, distributed food to 22 neighbors, received 318 lbs. of donated food, and donated 22 pints of blood for the Red Cross Blood Bank. To wrap up the weekend, the two congregations held Sunday worship together. It is a pure joy to give back to the community!

St. Peter’s this year also continued with our garden ministry, in which we were able to give out fresh produce to our neighbors who use our food bank. We created a Pray Ground for little ones, hosted Jeannie’s Kitchen 6 times this year, served Meals on Wheels weekly, helped a neighboring family who lost their home to a fire, distributed turkey dinners to families in need, provided children’s gifts through our angel tree and Christmas Box ministry, provided 20 children a backpack filled with school supplies, built a Blessing Box of food to reach our neighbors during emergencies, and had 68 students attend our preschool. It is a pure joy to give back to our community.
