NC Synod’s Leadership School for Mission and Renewal is a new ministry of the synod.
The school will offer one course (8-12 sessions) in the spring and fall of two consecutive years. Registrants may take all of the courses or select among them. Students who complete all four courses will receive a certificate of completion from the synod designating them as equipped for particular roles of leadership within a congregation. Homebase for instruction will be Lenoir-Rhyne University, with classes live-streamed to multiple remote sites, each with its own facilitator/s.
The Fall 2017 course is “Leading in Faith” and will run consecutive Thursday evenings from September 21 through November 16 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
The introductory course costs $90.00 (scholarships are available).

Overview of courses
Delving Deeper in Faith—Spring 2017
The course will use the faith practices of prayer and study to go deeper in faith. We will also explore some key themes/issues of faith.
Leading in Faith— Fall 2017
How do we lead effectively in a church? What is your particular leadership style? What can we learn from biblical examples of leadership? This course will focus on leading through change, building teams that work, and managing conflict within a faith community.
Faith and Finances—Spring 2018
Jesus talked a lot about money. How can we break the conspiracy of silence about money in the church and discover how we, and our congregations can be good stewards of all that God provides?
Sharing Our Faith—Fall 2018
This final course will prepare you to speak of the hope that is within you—your own faith—and receive the faith stories of others. We will examine varied approaches to evangelism, asking how faith-sharing can be meaningful across cultures and in your particular community
