Scroll Down to Register for Spring Classes

NC Synod’s Leadership School for Mission and Renewal is a new ministry of the synod.
This school offers one course (8-12 sessions) in the spring and fall. Courses are offered on a two year cycle. Students may take all of the courses or select among offerings. Students who complete all fours courses will receive a certificate of completion from the synod designating them as graduate and particularly equipped for ministry within a congregation. Homebase for instruction varies with each class being live-streamed to multiple sites throughout the synod or available for download on your schedule.

 Spring 2018 Course Outline

Jesus talked a lot about money. How can we break the conspiracy of silence about money in the church and discover how we, and our congregations can be good stewards of all that God provides?

Streaming at Will

This is a change from previous courses. The live teaching location will begin on Feb. 1. The online streaming will be available on a one week delay. Example: the first course, taught on Feb. 1 will be online for streaming beginning Feb. 8. You can gather your group that Thursday night or if another night works better, pick your time. These courses are still designed to be done as part of a group but everyone gathering somewhere besides Christ, Charlotte will have their own timeline. We’ll post sites that are already gathering here.

Sharing Our Faith—Fall 2018
This final course will prepare you to speak of the hope that is within you—your own faith—and receive the faith stories of others. We will examine varied approaches to evangelism, asking how faith-sharing can be meaningful across cultures and in your particular community
