Who doesn’t feel a little hopeless these days? If hope is “the thing with feathers,” this symposium aims to give it wings. Abiding Presence, Fuquay-Varina, will host a conference on Saturday, April 29, on hope with opportunities for fellowship, outreach, and enlightenment as God’s people gather and grow in faith. Keynote speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Mary Hinkle Shore, former rector and dean of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Cost is $15, which includes lunch. “We’ve chosen lines from Psalm 65 as our theme,” says coordinator of the event Murney Rinholm. God is ‘the hope of everyone on earth.’”
