Global Mission Youth Opportunity
Youth groups invited to Carolinas Global Mission Event; lock-in planned.
Studies are confirming that today's youth are globally connected and increasingly interested in to the customs, beliefs and cultures of people all around the world. What better way, then, to tap into that interest than to bring your youth group to the Carolinas Global Mission Event this February in Columbia, S.C.?

New to this year's sixth biennial event is a youth lock-in at a host congregation near Columbia. Bring your youth group down Friday evening and join with other teens in an overnight adventure in the congregation's new gym. (Sleeping bags required!) Then rise Saturday for breakfast at the church and the day's Global Mission Event at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in downtown Columbia. The cost is less than $10 per youth.

The daylong Global Mission Event on Feb. 3 is a mix of sights and sounds from foreign guests and ELCA missionaries who have served abroad. More than 20 workshop options equip participants with ideas to take home with them (including one on the ABCs of planning youth mission trips.) Displays invite you to sample everything from fair-trade chocolate to handcrafted items from the Ten Thousand Villages vendors. For more information on the youth program, e-mail Pr.
